I remember how at the beginning of my college program (CP for short), I was so eager to find out what my costume would look like. Now, I had done some prior research, and knew that some were definitely more attractive than others. I kept my fingers crossed and hoped for the best.
And I got lucky because at The Wildlife Express Train, I got TWO costumes to chose from! That is a rarity at Disney. One was a white and blue combo with a nod towards a pilot uniform, while the other featured striped, frayed shorts + striped vest + maroon shirt. In the normal world, I would never be so excited to wear clothes that resembled my costumes. But at Disney, they were perfect!
However, there was one sad part. When I found out that my role was located in Disney's Animal Kingdom (DAK for short. Disney loves their acronyms), I got so pumped because I thought that meant I got to wear hiking boots! But I quickly (and sadly) found out I had to wear black shoes only, boo!
But life has a funny way of working itself out and bringing you what you most want. Of course, when I found out I got a Professional Internship (PI) I was insanely excited. Then, I found out it was through the Conservation Education program at DAK, and I got even more excited. But the cherry on top was when I researched my costume and discovered that, yes, I get to don those beloved hiking boots!! =P
I am so in love with my costume. It is so cute and perfect, and I cannot wait to wear it! Now, to find the perfect pair of hiking boots for my six and half month journey... =D
