On February 14, 2015, Drew and I accomplished something that has been on my Disney bucket list since the beginning: DRINKING AROUND THE WORLD! <3 =D Seriously, I've wanted to
do this for so long, but I knew it took: a) the right partner(s), b) perfect weather, and c) enough moo-lah. (Drinking around 11 countries is not cheap, ha.) And because my Drew is the smartest and brightest, it was his idea to
tackle it once and for all on Valentine's Day.

ALSO, I wanted to make a video to document this momentous event! It
was SO fun to make,
and Drew put it
Drink 2: UK!
Ahhh, Rose & Crown Pub - always a favorite! Because I'm a light weight, we decided to share every other drink.
Drew however sometimes had two
or three. (What a champ!) In UK we shared the Strongbow, which is a yummy cider that can knock you on
your ass ha...but worth it! We also ordered the pub chips - so good and perfect for our day of drinkin'. =)
See the photo to the left: the first of FOUR
random people that came up to us asking to take a photo for us...or for themselves, HA!
Drink 3: France!
In France, we purchased Epcot's Wine Walk. What is the Wine Walk you ask? WELL, for $20 you get six 2 ounce wine pours, highlighting typical wines found in France, Germany, and Italy.
Honestly, I did not like either of France's wines. Too dry for my sugary sweet self. If it was a warmer day, I would have loved to try one of the iced drinks. But don't worry...I will definitely rain-check them for a sunny day! ;)
Drink 4: Morocco
Morocco was definitely lacking in exciting drinks, so I was glad to just share with Drew. He got the Casa Beer, a glorified light ale comparable to Coors (Hahahaha, isn't that right Drew?!) and a cookie. The beer, meh. The cookie, alright. If you had to skip a country for Drinking Around the World, I say Morocco is a top contender.
BUT something exciting did happen in Morocco: random photographer #2! And this one was the best! Okay here's the set-up: Drew and I are lounging on the railing to the right, yaking away. Then this lady in a cool fedora approaches us saying, "Hey I know this is weird, but me and my husband noticed you both from the other side of the sidewalk, and we think you look PERFECT together. You both are dressed so nicely, and the way your dress is falling, and with the lighting...it would make the perfect picture? Would you want one?!" Yes, yes we did.
Mucho gracias to that brave and sweet lady because she took one of our favorite photos from the day. =)
Drink 5: Japan!
By Japan, we were feeling freshhhh! I ordered the plum wine (it was VERY sweet), and the boy got the highest grade sake. (I think it was the $10.50 one.) We got our drinks from the kiosk outside the main store. After a few sips, I passed my plum wine over to Drew, and like the champ he is, he took both. =)
Drink 6: USA! USA! USA!
Drink 7: Italy <3
We did a lot in Italy! First, we were starving. Epcot was super crowded that day, so lines were everywhere. We doubted we could get a diner reservation, so we hopped in line for Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar. There we met random photographer #3!
A bunch of girls our age were in line in front of us...also drinking around the world...and ADORED our Carl+Ellie Disney Bound outfits. So much so that one asked if she could take a picture of us to show everyone back home, ha!
And for this time, I knew it exactly what I wanted: my favorite meal in the WHOLE world, the candele. SO GOOD! I made Drew tried it, and his reaction was perfect:
"This is literally the best thing I have ever eaten." - Drew Larsen
That's my boy. ;)
And then something beautiful happened: we got a walk-in for our favorite VIA NAPOLI! This has actually happened before too!
It is officially our restaurant.
We even had the same waitress from our first visit! =)
After Via Napoli, we got our two Wine Walk drinks! Drew took the white, and I took the red. They were much better than France's. I like them both quite a bit!
PS: Drew also got a beer from
Via Napoli...a lager, I believe.
He liked it!
dropped, the fewer pictures we took. But I will recap what we got!
Drink 8: Germany
Germany! More Wine Walk...both of which were yummy, white wines.
Drink 9: China
Drew got a crappy beer called Tsingtao. Much like Morocco, I think it is highly passable. HOWEVER, had it been warmer, I think one of the mixed, cold drinks would have been awesome! (At this point, it was a cool 50 degrees and my Floridian bones couldn't deal, ha!)
Drink 10: Norway
SO, if you are doing a legit Drinking Around the World, you have to do the aquavit shot. Because it was our tenth drink (and also because each shot cost $10), we shared. Which was a good idea because holy shit the aquavit is deadly. I have never tasted something so awful before in my life. Drew acted like it wasn't that bad, but don't believe him ha! I know he didn't like it either. BUT we can now proudly bragged we conquered the awful thing that is the aquavit shot.
Drink 11: Mexico
And like professionals, we ended in Mexico! We headed to La Cava del Tequila, which is known for high quality tequila. I was worried because me and tequila are not friends. As with everything else
that day, the line was killer. But we made friends with this super nice couple in front of us (one of which is a teacher at my mom's old high school; it really is a small world, ha!), and BOOM, they put us on their reservation. About 15 minutes later, we were in! After perusing through the menu, I decided on the
hefty priced ($16) pomegranate margarita. Though it was nicely made, I learned that night I do not like tequila haha. Poor Drew had
to drink the rest, which was
very nice of him. :)
