This shouldn't come as a surprise, but no Florida trip is complete without some sort of Disney element. Tomorrow me, my brother, his fiancé, Nikolas, and my cousins are going to make a quick trip to Orlando to go to DisneyQuest - we are also excited!
AND my cousin Lindsey and I are going to stop by Studios to see my beloved Osbourne Lights!!! I have always adored going to the lights and having newbies join me, so I'm glad Lindsey gets to see them with me too! Can't wait to see my favorite event one last time!
I hope everyone had a wonderful and happy Thanksgiving! Mine was spent in beautiful, sunny Florida with my family. We had delicious food and I got my favorite BABY TIME with my niece Mary Jane and nephew Nikolas :)
Today is my birthday and I loveeee birthdays! Last year I went big, but this year I wanted something more low key. Yesterday, me and my beautiful momma did one of my favorite activities: SHOP! =P Bought too many dresses (my favorite) and also sponsored a child on the Angel Tree, which is something I have always wanted to do.
Later that night, Shannon joined us for a meal at Lockland Table. I have been dying to go here. Momma and I took a cooking class with the lead chef a few years ago before he opened the restaurant. I am so glad we went because it was one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. If you are ever in Nashville, I highly recommend it!
And for today, I wanted to go see the new and final Hunger Games! It is a birthday tradition for me to see it, as they always come out around my birthday. Afterwards, me and my best gal pals met up for some Noodles and Company and Sweet CeCe's, which both companies sent me free entree/ice cream coupons woohoo! (Sign up for their email and you will get one too on your birthday!)
Today has been a wonderful, sweet day and all my friends and family have made me feel so loved. In a few days, I will be heading to see some more of my Florida family. And who knows, maybe I will even make my way towards the "most magical place on Earth"... =D
As for hotels, we started at the Hard Rock, which is a long time favorite of everyone's. Then, me, Drew, and his brother stayed in Cabana Bay - super fun and cool! Last, we moved to Coronado Springs at Walt Disney World. We really liked this hotel and the pool was sooooo dope!
We also got to see the new Hocus Pocus show starring the Sanderson Sisters. Holy smokes, it is soooooooooo good! I would pay to just see that!
We ended Fall Break with a weekend trip up to the Outer Banks. I had never been before, but it was always on my to do list. I ADORED the Outer Banks and want to go back as soon as possible. We saw wild horses and a bald eagle; we went swimming in the ocean and star gazed at night; we had delicious meals with all of Drew's closest friends. It was a really nice way to end such a GREAT vacation!
A permanent believer that "Adventure is out there" and a DAK girl for life!
