The ceviche was very yummy! It had scallops, shrimp, and grouper in it. There was a nice balance of all the ingredients and it tastes very fresh. The acidity was perfect. Personally, I could do without the green peppers, but I'm also not a pepper fan.
I was underwhelmed by the white corn arepa dish. Firstly, I thought I would get a whole arepa. Secondly, the flavors did not "wow" me. I also think between the ceviche and slaw, I had too much acid. I also didn't care for the slaw. The braised beef inside the arepa was good though.
However, if you want a GOOD arepa, I suggest Clear Water. Or my personal favorite, the arepa food truck at Downtown Orlando in between I-Bar and Lake Eola. Perfect night time food, if you catch my drift! ;)
I've been on a huge strawberry kick lately, which is so weird because I've never been a fan of fresh strawberries. But the other day, Whole Foods had a sample of local strawberries and I had to have them. So when I saw this offering in my handy dandy Flower and Garden passport, I knew I needed it.
The cookie part is strawberry flavored; inside, there is a fluffy marshmallow like cream. Smack in the center is a dollop of strawberry jam for an extra punch of strawberry deliciousness. So yummy y'all, so yummy. :)
How beautiful is this macaroon!? And I'm happy to report it is as delicious as it looks :) Also, it is a pretty big size; about the size of my palm.
